Derwent Drawing Pencils, Inktense, 4mm Core, Metal Tin, Watercolor, 24 Per Pack (0700929) / Great pencils when used the way they were intended |
I received this 24 pack of pencils for my birthday. At first I thought that they were really crumby because their colors were not nearly as vibrant as they appeared on the tin. I went online and learned that one is supposed to add water after laying down the pencil on a medium to medium thick multimedia paper. I took out a watercolor brush, laid some water over the flower I'd drawn and low-and-behold, their colors jumped!
I would highly recommend these pencils to anyone who is interested in art / drawing and especially if you want to take it to the next level. I especially think these are great for people who like to draw flowers, like me!
The one thing that I would change about these pencils is the price. I don't know what the process is to create the pencil and considering that they do come from the UK, I suppose the regular price of over $30.00 isn't too bad, but I would love to get a deal at about a buck a pencil--thus the Watch I created on PZ! |
