Touchstones of the beat poetry movement like Allen Ginsberg's Howl , Kenneth Rexroth's Thou Shall Not Kill and Ferlinghetti's Moscow in the Wilderness, Sequoia in the Snow are here, as well as appearances by such major figures as Michael McClure, David Meltzer, Lew Welch and Gregory Corso, But perhaps the highlight of the set is the 70-minute fourth disc, which features unreleased recordings from most of the scene's luminaries. A lavish, 36-page booklet accompanies.
