Featuring two 4.7" jog wheels with weight sensors for fine adjustments during the mix
Compact enough to transport to the gig, the included carrying case keeps the 4-Mx protected Two stereo inputs let you include turntables, MP3 or CD players in your mix
2 deck controls plus 2 deck switches let you control 4 virtual decks. View larger The Hercules DJ Console 4-Mx is a large DJ controller with a durable metal casing, built-in audio, and large jog wheels. This all-in-one mixing station for the serious DJ features a 2-4 deck controller to mix digital audio tracks, 2 stereo outputs to play the mix for the audience and preview next track, and 2 stereo inputs to include turntables, MP3 or CD players in your mix. It's especially built for professional DJing: it's large enough for comfortable mixing, compact enough to transport to the gig, and there's no need for a separate audio interface. Touch-Sensitive Jog Wheels The two large 4.7" jog wheels feature weight sensors to detect the hand's weight on the jog wheel top, for fine adjustments during the mix. They're great for scratching and seeking within audio tracks. While the track plays, you control the DJ software with two actions on the jog wheel: rotation, to control movement within the track, or press down to control scratching. Thus, during audio track playback, you can pitch bend, scratch, and start or stop playback, just like using a real vinyl scratching turntable. Built-in Audio for Mobile and Club DJs 4-channel output gives you the flexibility of stereo line output for the mix, plus stereo headphone output for previewing tracks. A microphone input with talk-over function means there's no need to carry an audio interface. There are two independent stereo outputs on the rear panel, with four RCA connectors to connect to a stereo system or recorder as well as four 1/4" mono connectors to connect to a public address amplifier or speakers. A ground lift switch on jack outputs 1-2 protects the sound in the event of a ground loop. A 1/4" headphone jack stereo output, located both on the top panel and on the front panel, plays the same channels as outputs 3-4 on the rear. Two independent stereo inputs with 4 RCA connectors let you select the audio source type in the DJ Console 4-Mx control panel, including phono/consumer line/pro line/boost. Boost mode supports +8dBu signal level (for use with Pioneer CDJ players, for example). If the audio sources are vinyl turntables at phono level, you can connect the turntables ground cables to the DJ Console 4-Mxs grounding screw. A 1/4" microphone jack mono input, located on both the top panel and the front panel, can be set as a talk-over source (default mode), so the microphone is played on outputs 1-2 over the music in the background, using the music attenuation level set in the DJ Console 4-Mx control panel (0dB, -3dB, -6dB or -9dB). Or set it as a standard source, replacing inputs 1-2. The DJ Console 4-Mx pre-amplifies the microphone input by up to +34dB. 2- and 4-Deck Control (A/B/C/D) 2 deck controls plus 2 deck switches convert deck A into C, and deck B into D, letting you control 4 virtual decks. Deck switches convert all deck controls into another set of MIDI commands, plus mixer volume and EQ controls. Deck viewers light up the letter of the controlled deck, while the backlighting color of jog wheels changes to indicate which virtual deck is being controlled. User-Friendly Features The DJ software included with the Hercules DJ Console 4-Mx suggests cue points in the audio file analysis, getting you mixing and producing quickly. Synchronize tracks using pitch encoders and/or sync buttons, and create automatic loops on 1, 2, 4 or 8 beats. Add effects to customize your music, then record your mixes as audio files. What's in the Box DJ Console 4-Mx with USB controller, 2 decks, and mixer controls, carrying bag, VirtualDJ 7 LE DJC Edition software, drivers, user manual.
