On 1999's , Dudley Connell and Don Rigsby featured harmonies inspired by early brother duet teams like the Monroe Brothers and the Blue Sky Boys. They continue the emphasis on sweet and sad harmony on this followup, but this time out, they seem to have been inspired by the brother teams that emerged after World War II. Indeed, includes covers of the Everlys ("So Sad (To Watch Good Love Go Bad)") and the Louvins ("I'll Take the Chance"), with harmonies that can sound strikingly similar to those of Teddy and Doyle Wilburn. Fans of the bluegrass that Connell and Rigsby play in their regular gigs (they're members, respectively, of the Seldom Scene and the Lonesome River Band and, together, of Longview) will find much to enjoy here, particularly Rigsby's tart mandolin solos. also includes bits of Western music, early honky-tonk (check out the solos of steel man Randy Kohrs), and folk (a version of Bob Dylan's "Hollis Brown"), but it all comes down to the pair's pretty, pleading harmonies.
