These dishes have no sharp inner corners or edges that can catch and hold food, so they are extremely easy to clean. The impermeable glaze also ensures that baked-on food will come off with minimal effort. As with all Pillivuyt dishes, these gratins are dishwasher, freezer, microwave, and oven safe - even under the broiler. They will not discolor, stain, or retain odors or flavors and the glaze is guaranteed not to craze. The small Sancerre gratin has a 1-cup capacity and is 4 1/2 inches in diameter, 1 3/4 inches deep.
