The 1/4" wide copper tape has a conductive acrylic adhesive for grounding and RFI/EMI (radio-frequency interference/electromagnetic interference) shielding applications. Also known as EMI shielding tape, it provides a very low rate of electrical resistance for good conductivity. The tape is solderable, resists oxidation and discoloring, and withstands temperatures up to 155 degrees F. It has a peel-off liner, which protects the adhesive from exposure to air until ready for use. The tape is 2.75 mil thick, consisting of a 1.5-mil thick foil and 1.25-mil thick adhesive. The tape is 36 yd. long and has a 3" roll core. It is Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant. Kaptontape.com manufactures and distributes adhesive tapes and dispensers. The company, founded in 1989, is headquartered in Torrance, CA.
