DESCRIPTIONT his new surface conditioner and primer changes rust into a dark protective polymeric coating.

It converts existing rust to an inert coating that seals out moisture to prevent future rust and corrosion. This rust converter provides an excellent primer coating for the application of quality oil-based paints. Surfaces protected with this primer and an oil-based paint system resists the effects of weather, rain, sun and salt spray without peeling or cracking.

This easy-to-use product is the first step in providing long-term protection of all metal surfaces.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove large rust and scale particles with a wire brush or sandpaper. Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, dust and grease.

APPLICATION: SHAKE OR STIR WELL BEFORE USING! Apply this product using a brush, roller or pump sprayer. This product is ready-to-use - NO thinning is required.

COVERAGE: 500 square feet per gallon on a smooth, non-porous surface. Irregular, porous or textured surfaces may require more product.

DRYING TIME: The resulting coat will dry to a smooth, dark finish in 20 minutes. Apply a second coat to ensure complete transformation of rusty surfaces. Allow 48 hours of cure time before the application of the finished paint coat. For long-lasting protection of iron surfaces, the cured rust converter coating should be sealed with two coats of a high quality oil-based paint. No other primer is required.

CLEAN-UP: Application equipment should be cleaned immediately with soap and water.

GENERAL: Do not apply this product if the surface temperatures are below 50F. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from freezing or temperatures above 100F.
