Vinyl double LP. As busy as the members of Alter Bridge are with other bands such as Creed and Slash's band, you would think Alter Bridge would be a distraction. However, it seems to be more their creative safe haven for a raw hard rock sound they prefer. "Fortress" then seems to be an ideal name for the band's fourth album. Branching out from straight up hard rock, Alter Bridge leans more heavily on thrash metal for this hard-driving 2013 double album. For this album, the band employs producer Mike Baskette, who helped on their previous two albums. The lead single from "Fortress" was "Addicted to Pain," and the critically acclaimed album peaked at #12 on the Billboard 200. Roadrunner Records.
