The Panasonic DMW-FL580L External Flash is a powerful external flash used to achieve comfortable shooting conditions featuring fast charging time, wireless control and LED video light function. The flash is a shoe-mounted unit compatible with Panasonic TTL that features a powerful guide number of 190 ft. at ISO 100. The 580 External Flash is designed to work with Micro Four Thirds lenses with a focal length between 12-100mm, or a 35mm equivalent of 24-200mm. The flash also features the fastest recycling time of 1.7 sec in full power, as fastest as a large-size external flash. The LED offers good illumination of 100 lux at 3.3 ft. The LED is useful for dimly-lit conditions or video recording against backlighting. The flash head has ability to tilt from -7 to +90 degrees and rotate 180 degrees for bouncing the flash. There is also wireless control for 4 channels and 3 groups giving greatly increased shooting possibilities. The flash head is powered by 4 AA Ni-MH or alkaline batteries that provide recycle times of about 1.7 or 2.7 seconds respectively. Features Approximately 125 flashes with alkaline batteries and 175 with Ni-MH batteries. AF-assist lamp has a range of 3.3-16.4' for camera operation in low-light conditions. Wide-angle panel allows for use with lenses as wide as 7mm, or a 35mm equivalent of 14mm. LED will run for 170 minutes with alkaline batteries of 240 minutes with Ni-MH batteries.
