The Newborn 424 Ratchet Rod caulking gun fits 24 oz. bulk caulk or a 10 oz. or 20 oz. sausage pack and has a thrust ratio of 6:1 for use with medium viscosity materials such as silicone. The ratchet-style pressure rod has teeth that hold the rod in place after each pull of the trigger. For thinner materials, this helps minimize drips. A spout cutter is built into the side of the gun for opening cartridges without a knife, and a wrist allows the gun to be held more securely. The caulking gun includes one dual hytrel cup for use with bulk caulk or sausage packs, one ring cap for attaching nozzles, three plastic cone nozzles, and one 1/2" diameter metal nozzle.Caulking guns, also called caulk or cartridge guns, dispense a controlled flow of products such as caulk, sealants, and adhesives from a tube or cartridge.
