Jansal Valley dried juniper berries, 1.75 ounce. Not a berry, but the dried cones from the juniper evergreen shrub. They are small, bluish purple with an intense spicy flavor that is very strong and has hints of pine. Commonly used when cooking game, they can also be used to flavor soups and sauces. Crush the berries and use to rub or marinade game meat before cooking. Intense, strong flavor, use sparingly.
