The Rugged Frame is designed to protect the tablet from drops and usage in harsh and physically challenging environments. The rugged frame features covers for the battery and ports which can be opened/closed as needed for use of accessories or instant connector access. The Rugged Frame increases the drop height capability of the V5-series tablets to 1.8m based on MIL-STD-810G testing, helps prevent moisture, water and dirt collection between the tablet and frame, and is suitable for use in ruggedized customer applications including first responders, police, medical and military.
