Teak is ideal for outdoor furniture because it features extremely tight wood grain that is impervious to water, so it resists rot and warping. This naturally water-repellant material will last for years in all weather conditions with minimal shrinking or swelling due to its innately high rubber content. Without maintenance, a rich silvery patina will develop on your piece. Light sanding or the application of teak oil will maintain the original honey brown color. All pieces in this collection are skillfully built to allow for variables in outdoor temperatures and conditions. Brass-plated steel screws are used for added strength and rust prevention.
