One of Jacqui Lewnes' favorite memories is growing up with six dogs, they became her best friends. Cats and dogs have been the subject of her art most of her life. Her interest in drawing animals is not to portray them but to capture their expressive body language. Jacqui is especially interested in unzipping their fluffy coats to reveal their wildness underneath. An avid cycler, Jacqui also creates "portraits" of motorcycles. She renders them with the same care and affection as her animals.
