This branded steam hose is manufactured for cleaning, heat control, fire prevention, pumping, thawing, blow-out service, steam pumps, and hoists in open-end or permanent installation operations. Its tube and cover are made of Pyrosyn, a special form of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) synthetic rubber that is highly resistant to heat. With an inner diameter (ID) of 3/4", this hose is reinforced with two layers of braided steel wire to provide the strength necessary to reach and maintain its maximum pressure rating of 250 psi. It is capable of functioning effectively at temperatures ranging from 0 to +450 degrees F (-18 to +232 degrees C), and it comes equipped with male and female two-bolt NPT couplings. This hose is typically used in refineries, shipyards, chemical plants, steel mills, foundries, and other heavy industrial applications where high strength is required and severe environmental conditions are encountered.Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses, use the STAMPED method:The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excessive turbulence. The hose must be capable of withstanding the minimum and maximum temperatures that occur within the hose system. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used. Industrial hoses are used in systems such as air compressors, automatic manufacturing operations, aircraft controls, and tire installation in industries including agriculture, mining, road construction, firefighting, and aviation. Veyance Technologies manufactures and sells Goodyear Engineered Products, including hoses, industrial power transmission products, conveyor belts, hydraulics, rubber track, and automotive and truck products. It is headquartered in Fairlawn, OH.
