Saturday, February 20th 10am-11:30am Pictureline 305 W 700 S Salt Lake City, UT 84101 Class Two: The Setup We highly recommend attending Getting to Know Your Camera: Part 1 before registering for this class. Get the most from your DSLR cameras by joining us on Saturdays from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Pictureline store for our Getting to Know Your Camera series. This is a 3-part series where you will learn all about key camera controls - what they are, and more importantly, how to use them to get great shots. $14.95 reserves your seat and is refunded back to you on a pictureline gift card. This class is designed to take you a couple steps farther into the fundamentals of photography. In this course, we will go over the following subjects: Metering Class two offers instruction on light metering. Light exposure directed into the camera sensor can be measured by metering reflected light to inform you where your aperture (F-stop) and shutter speed must be properly adjusted. Histogram The histogram is one of the most important and least understood tools on your camera. We will demonstrate how to read your histogram: a graph that manifests image exposure. Proper use of your histogram reduces post-production editing by producing perfectly exposed images. White Balance Light source color temperature should be measured so that additional hues are not cast onto your photos. This class will teach you how to make white appear in your photos the same way it does to your eye through digital white balance. Focus Learn about automatic and manual focus settings, how to use your camera's focus points, and benefits of continuous focusing in this class.
