Gitane follows traditional design cues by using solid Sitka spruce for the top and high quality laminates for the back and sides. This combination provides the percussive snap, and attack that one needs to play this music correctly. The necks are made of the best hardwoods for stability and strength, as well as the tonal characteristics they impart.
