This monumental recording casts an intimate musical look at two extraordinary musicians from 1967-1980. Mike Seeger is a founding member of the New Lost City Ramblers and part of the influential Seeger family. Alice Gerrard is best known for her work with Hazel Dickens. Together, Mike and Alice sang many beautiful duets, some of which are eerily relevant (for example, ). Both musicians contribute pieces they wrote, and they perform some great covers of country and bluegrass songs. A number of the tracks are from an old Greenhays LP while others are live concert recordings from Japan. There are 12 tracks included that never before been released in the United States. There are three tracks with the legendary Tommy Jarrell on fiddle.
