The BlueSwarf MetalMax Milling Optimization Kit tests and analyzes impact performance data to maximize tool life and productivity on end mills and milling cutters with diameters of 3/8" (10 mm) and larger. The kit includes all components required to collect and receive optimized performance data such as speeds, feeds, and cutting depths, and provides online access to 40 customized milling Dashboards (one Dashboard required for each tool tested). How MetalMax Data Is CollectedThe kit gathers data through a tap test that uses an instrumented tapping hammer to initiate vibration on the tool being tested and an accelerometer to measure its specific response. This response is transferred through a sensor interface box to the user's PC, which runs the MetalMax corresponding software to guide the data-collection process. The software is loaded onto the user's PC through the included USB dongle key (Microsoft Windows 7 or 8 required). It records the test data throughout the tap test and sends the results to BlueSwarf engineers in an encrypted format for secure analysis. How MetalMax Analysis Is DeliveredOnce BlueSwarf engineers analyze the test data, they generate custom milling Dashboards that can be accessed through the BlueSwarf Tooling Cloud secure web portal. The Dashboards are provided in a user-friendly graphic format that shows the machine's optimized speeds, feeds, and cutting depths for the selected conditions. Results consider all components of the machining process, including the machine itself, spindle, toolholder, cutter material and geometry, workpiece material, and parameters provided by the tool manufacturer.SpecificationsWhat's in the Box?
