The files create columns in the hoop that are then joined with traditional sewing to create a reversible placemat or as long a reversible table runner as you would like. All the pieces feature front and back fabrics, a dense fleece batting, and decorative stitching that creates one continuous motif, as well as a checkerboard border, created with ." pieced seams. The placemat's completed size would be 17."x13", and each additional column would increase the length of the runner by about 4.". (My sample runner's length is a bit greater than 26".) So go through your stash or brave the cold and get some new fabrics and get started changing the "blahs" to "ahhhhs"! PS The blocks are charm-square friendly and the border is jelly-roll friendly.
