The Amprobe PRM-4 phase sequence and motor rotation tester helps ensure proper connection of a motor or drive to an electrical device or a 3-phase power supply. The tester indicates whether a 3-wire installation has a 3-phase sequence or an open phase state. It also displays the 3-phase motor rotation of an unpowered motor, and shows whether the motor shaft rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. The tester comes with three color-coded test leads (red, green, and blue) and two sets of alligator clips for hands-free connection to a motor or 3-phase power source. It comes with a soft, zippered vinyl carrying case, and it operates on one 9V battery (installed). The unit weighs 7 oz. (218 g) and measures 6.02 x 2.83 x 1.37 inches (153 x 72 x 35 mm, H x W x D, where H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back). The meter meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) safety standard 61010 and is certified for category III up to 600V, which covers items used with enclosed building circuit installations (service panel parts, branch circuits, and fixed installations that are connected directly to a building's AC power supply). It conforms to European Conformity (CE) directives, Australian N10140 standards, and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) guidelines.Amprobe manufactures electrical testing equipment for commercial, industrial, and home use. The company was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Everett, WA.Whats in the Box?
