This is an upper tier product with all the bells and whistles that other company's offer but at a better retail price point. This is not Gear Heads smallest camera, but it is aimed at users who are looking for a great experience with HD video, proper lighting, and great sound from an integrated microphone. The WC8500HD looks great on paper but let's take a close look to see how it performs under actual use. Gear Head has been doing a very solid job with the webcam category lately so expectations are high, especially given the price of this model.
