Gel medium is thick and white but dries clear. Gel medium retains a texture when dry. It can be used as a sealer over dyes, inks, paints, etc. Use it for texture over paper or on paintings. Apply with a brush, foam brush, pallet knife, trowel. Mix in metallics, pigments and/or powders. It can also be used on clothing and textiles, with a stencil and/or painted on. Once heat set on fabric, gel medium can be machine washed. It can be used on glass and is beautiful when pigment, and/or a metallic product is layered over the top of it. Use as a gel transfer medium or to create brush strokes. Gel medium can be used in stenciling, scrapbooking/memory, altered art, fine art, decoupage, furniture, mixed media, faux finishing, decorative painting, stamping, paint/photo extensions on canvas, collage, paper arts, gourd art.
