Do you ever wonder why we often look up to the clouds in the sky? I think each of us is born with the desire to find that which we cannot see. Deep down we know there is something more to this thing we call life. For children, that precious hidden treasure of God's spirit comes out so freely. Grownups look for rest or comfort in so many worldly things. This book tries to capture that struggle with one little girl looking for sleep. She tries many clouds before she finally finds the only one that will truly give her rest. A child's imagination opens our eyes to the glory and wonder of a truly amazing God. This book is dedicated my Savior Jesus Christ and to my grandchildren's restless imaginations. For Desirae whose bedtimes often challenged us with ways to find sleep. For Adrian who was so sure dinosaurs were hidden in our neighbors' grove of trees. And for Brandon who often amused himself (and me) with car chases and dueling ninjas in the night air when the lights went out at bedtime.
