Over 3 years of research and development went into producing the Smart Air Beds Champion Raised Air Bed with a Built-In Pump. A great deal of customer feedback regarding all kind of beds was gathered over the last 11 years. Not just about our Smart Air Beds, but also about INTEX, AeroBed and Easy Riser air beds. All of that data has been processed and was used when developing this bed. First inflation, this item has a built-in pump that can inflate and deflate this item in a manner of minutes. Customers want to use their beds camping where they don't have electricity. This bed has an additional valve so you can use a rechargeable pump (not incl.) to inflate the bed no matter where you are. The design of this bed was created to simulate the look and feel of a traditional mattress. The top and sides are all flocked, improving not only the look, but providing extra warmth to the air trapped inside of it which can change in temperature as the night goes on. Once inflated to capacity, the internal pump can be used to slowly deflate the bed to your designed firmness which you are laying on it so each user can get the exact feel they are looking for - firm or soft. If you look at the images, you can see this bed is basically two air beds attached together (like a box spring and mattress).
