Troubleshoot electrical systems easily and accurately.
View larger Check power quality to quickly determine the efficiency of electrical systems. Advanced Features for Complete Troubleshooting of Electrical Systems The ACDC-52NAV Navigator Clamp Meter serves as a first line of defense for electrical system monitoring and troubleshooting. From daily voltage current checks to sophisticated system verification for power and harmonics, this tool can be used to properly diagnose the entire electrical system. By identifying the specific problem, technicians can take action or more easily escalate the issue to specialized teams. The ACDC-52NAV is packed with advanced features to aid troubleshooting including power and power factor, total harmonic distortion and individual harmonics, inrush current, low pass filter and phase sequence. The unique Navigator joy stick control allows quick selection of the numerous measurement features on the large LCD display. Simply highlight the desired measurement feature using the joy stick and press to select. Built for rugged industrial environments, this CAT IV 600V/CAT III 1000V clamp meter also features super bright backlight display, built-in jaw flashlight and an over molded housing to absorb shocks. Full Range of Advanced Features The ACDC-52NAV measures AC/DC current up to 600A, AC/DC voltage to 1,000V, capacitance, resistance, and frequency. Its bright LCD screen with backlight is perfect for operation in dark environments and direct sunlight. The meter's non-contact voltage detector senses AC voltage without making contact with the circuit. Low pass filter enables reading voltage, current and frequency measurements on variable frequency drives (VFDs). Power factor and active power readings provide data on the power usage and efficiency of electrical systems. This meter measures total harmonic distortion (THD) and individual harmonics up to the 25th harmonic. The total harmonic distortion reading (0 to 100%) identifies whether you have a harmonics issue - the higher the THD percentage, the higher the risk of problems. Harmful harmonics cause electrical system malfunctions including overheating, excessive neutral current and electrical equipment failure. By identifying the specific problematic harmonic, technicians can take action or more easily escalate the problem to specialized teams. The rugged ACDC-52NAV has an impact- and wear-resistant molded rubber body that can withstand drops up to 4 feet. An audible continuity function quickly checks for good electrical connection and a diode test detects whether a circuits diodes are working properly. The hold function keeps the reading on the display for later viewing. The unit automatically turns off after 15 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life, and a low-battery indicator signals when the meter's batteries need to be replaced. Its jaws can accommodate an electrical conductor up to 1.45" (37 mm) in diameter. The ACDC-52NAV is CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V rated. It is also UL listed and CE certified. What is Power Factor? Power Factor indicates electrical power efficiency from 0 to 1 by measuring real and reactive power. For example, power factor 1 indicates 100% electrical efficiency. A power factor of . 5 indicates only 50% electrical efficiency, meaning 50% of power is lost and power factor correction must be performed. To correct power factor, current and voltage need to be realigned using either capacitors or resolving harmonics issues. Wide-Range of Applications The ACDC-52NAVs full set of features simplify day to day voltage, current, resistance and continuity applications. Troubleshoot motors with the capacitance function for startup and run capacitors, in-rush current analysis, low-pass filter for variable frequency drives (VFDs) and phase rotation to measure three-phase systems. Test performance such as verifying system efficiency and quickly troubleshooting issues to minimize costly downtime by performing load studies and motor testing system checks in performance. Check power quality to quickly determine the efficiency of an electrical system by measuring power factor and working power measurements and test for harmful harmonics while you perform daily system checks. It is the ideal tool for maintenance and installation of transformers and advanced equipment. Product Features Whats In the Box?
