We designed it to be "GENTLE" enough to water your plants, and "STRONG" enough to clean most home/auto/garden objects. Too much VOLUME (FLOW) in the "Mist" position (Left Most Position) can ruin your plants, and is messy. Too much VOLUME (FLOW) in the "Jet Stream" (Right Most Position) position results in "lower" pressure (Yes, More Volume --- Lower Pressure.) So, as per the design, we slightly restricted the VOLUME (FLOW) in both directions, to achieve this balance!
