Our Artificial Turf Infill and Grooming Rake is used during the installation of granulated material, on top of the installed artificial grass project area. We call this material infill. Infill is typically a small granulated material, about the size of very coarse sand; it's spread across the project's surface and it's used to weigh down the grasses and hold the turf blades up, vertically; when properly installed. Using the infill rake helps perk up the blades, combing through the surfaces before you begin to infill; this raking action "blooms" the blades, and provides a gap where the infill can fall between the yarn rows; without burying the blades, under it's weight. Once the infill materials are spread across the grass; much of it has already fallen into the surfaces. Use the infill rake, with short, quick strokes, diagonally across the grain, to work the infill deep into the surfaces. It's job doesn't stop after the installation is done - this handy groom rake is fabulous for the long-term.
