EZ-Strainers Use to strain/filter Most Liquids EZ-Strainer inserts lie on the top of most 5 gallon pails, allowing valuable material to be poured through easily, while removing unwanted particles. The patented lip design ensures that the strainer always stays in place. EZ-Strainer inserts are ideal for removing debris from vegetable oils, biodiesel, motor oil, paints, inks, adhesives, silicones, etc. The 5-gallon EZ-Strainer inserts are available in coarse, medium, fine, extra fine & ultra fine mesh. These strainers can be stacked on top of each other to to strainer at different mesh sizes in one pouring of a liquid. This allows a more coarse straining before fine straining, which helps the fluid pass through the strainer more quickly on the fine straining and less clogging. Pouring directly into a fine strainer often results in rapid clogging when the fluid is dirty. Cleaning these strainers is fairly simple. The nylon mesh cleans very easily. It can be scraped clean or washed clean with a garden hose/light pressure washer or using soapy water. These strainers are made to last through several washes/strainings and is why they are superior to filter bags in initial filtering of fuels. Choose the micron size that filters out the particle sizes that you need removed.
