This Brennan 2501-SS series 90-degree elbow tube fitting is made of stainless steel 316, has a male JIC tube connection and a male NPTF connection, and is suitable for use in high-pressure fuel delivery and fluid power applications. It is made of stainless steel 316 for higher strength and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel 304 and has a maximum pressure rating of 5,000 pounds per square inch (psi) at an operating temperature range of -425 to +1,200 degrees F. This 90-degree elbow fitting, or "ell," connects tubes at a 90-degree angle to change the direction of flow between two tubes. It has a male Joint Industry Council (JIC) tube connection on one end for connecting to a flared tube, and a male National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) connection on the other end for connecting to a female NPTF threaded tube. The NPTF threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. This JIC fitting is a type of flare fitting machined with a 37-degree flare seating surface, as defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J514 standards.
