The NIBCO 4801-7 adapter pipe fitting is made of PVC for drain, waste, and vent systems (DWV) and has a hub connection and a slip-joint connection. This adapter fitting connects pipes or fittings with different end types, diameters, or materials. It has a female hub opening on one end and a slip joint opening on the other for connecting to unthreaded pipes. Tightening the slip nut against the slip joint washer creates a compression seal against leaks and loosening the slip nut allows disassembly of the joined parts. This fitting is made of PVC for use in non-pressure residential and commercial drain, waste, and vent (DWV) sanitary systems.
