Product Description
The Parker A-Lok 1BF1-T compression tube fitting is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and connects to tubing on both ends. This is the back ferrule of a ferrule set. It provides a leak-proof seal when compressed between two mating components. This fitting is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a strong, low-friction material that has smooth transfer, high surface release, and nonstick properties. It has high chemical resistance, and resists moisture, high temperatures, flames, thermal expansion, and ultraviolet (UV) exposure. PTFE has low temperature toughness. This fitting is suitable for usein chemical, petroleum, power generation, laboratory, and medical device plants. It is compatible with stainless steel, copper, rigid and semi-rigid plastic tubing, but is not recommended for soft tubing. Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Compression fittings do not require tools or sealants, and are useful in installations where a heat source, such as a soldering torch, is prohibited. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).
