This Spears 438-131 schedule 40 white PVC bushing has a 1" spigot on one end and 3/4" National Pipe Taper (NPT) female threads on the other end for connecting two pipes with different ends. It is made of white PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for chemical and corrosion resistance, strength, and less weight than a metal fitting. This bushing can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using metal-to-plastic transition fittings (sold separately) and is suitable for cold-water pressure distribution systems including irrigation, pool and spa, potable water, and chilled water.
