Organic yellow mustard seeds are an extremely versatile ingredient, offering a comparatively sweet, subtle mustard flavor in comparison to their black counterparts. Our natural mustard seeds can be roasted in oil to impart flavor, used in pickling vegetables, or used as the foundation for condiments such as mustard and a variety of salad dressings. Additionally, yellow mustard seeds may be roasted in a skillet and when water is added, an enzymatic process is initiated that enhances their pungency and heat. To moderate this sharp flavor, vinegar, may be added. In addition to its varied uses, organic yellow mustard seeds also offer significant nutritional value. Natural mustard seeds are a very good source of selenium and omega-3 fatty acids. They are also a good source of phosphorus, magnesium, manganese, dietary fiber, iron, calcium, protein, niacin and zinc. As a Certified USDA Organic, non-GMO and vegan product, our yellow mustard seeds perfectly complement vegan and vegetarian lifestyles. Certified USDA Organic products are grown and produced using methods that preserve the environment while avoiding synthetic materials such as antibiotics and pesticides. Such products are produced by organic farmers and food processors that preserve natural resources and biodiversity, only use approved materials, support animal health and welfare, do not used genetically modified ingredients (GMOs), receive annual inspections, and separate organic food from non-organic food. They also follow standards that cover the product from farm to table, including pest control, soil and water quality, and rules for food additives. Our organic natural mustard seeds are GMO-free, meaning no specific changes were introduced into its DNA via genetic engineering.
