The Spears P106 series DWV cleanout plug is made of PVC, has a female NPT connecting end, and is suitable for waste water systems in residential applications. This fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal. PVC can be connected to other materials such as steel, copper, or cast iron using transition fittings. This cleanout plug fitting fits into a cleanout adapter to close the adapter and allow access to the system and has an operating temperature range of 73 to 140 degrees F (23 to 60 C). The male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threaded end connects to female NPT-threaded pipes for a tighter seal than straight threads.
