The exterior layer is magnetic stainless steel that makes it suitable for induction stovetops. The next layer of aluminum alloy bonds to the middle layer, which is 3004 aluminum. The fourth layer is an aluminum alloy bonded to the interior 18/10 high-grade stainless steel. Together, these five layers work in unison to transfer heat quickly and evenly through the bottom and sides of the pan, making the saucepan extremely responsive, essential in making perfect sauces, heating liquids, or reheating sauces or other food. The Viking-designed ergonomic handle takes stress off of the wrist, making cooking easier and enjoyable while reducing heat transfer to keep the handle cool. The raised lid handle makes sure that it stays cool, allowing for space for use with baking mitt or towels. The non-reactive and non-porous inner layer of stainless steel combines with the efficiency of the core to make an ideal cooking surface that is easy to clean and sanitize.
