Trisol by Ferran Adria is a soluble fiber derived from wheat, especially recommended for the preparation of batters for deep frying and tempura. Trisol will produce a coating that will not absorb oil and remains crunchy for an extended time. A typical batter uses 30% Trisol to 70% flour. It is also perfect as a substitute for sugar in the preparation of doughs for biscuits. And it is a cost effective replacement for fiber supplements like Benefiber.
