The American Educational Products 7-350 dissecting pan is for general laboratory use, and is made of aluminum, which is lightweight and provides resistance to corrosion and tarnishing. The pan has smooth, rolled edges for safe operation and stacking, and comes with wax that is a mixture of black tar and white wax which produces a black color for contrast with specimens. The pan has a heating limit of 250 degrees F limit, and should be placed on a hot plate to melt the wax when resurfacing. The product is not dishwasher- or microwave-safe.
