With legendary Nikon optical glass., multicoated optics and improved chromatic aberration reduction, the PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscope provides bright, high contrast images with true color rendition in most lighting conditions. And internal texturing minimizes reflective light loss inside of the scope. Together, the new optical innovations allow the user to pull subjects out of their natural backgrounds and reveal every detail in brilliant color and with clear, edge-to-edge resolution. Ergonomic and lightweight, the new body style of the PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscope is compact and very packable.A new focus knob has been placed on top of the scope for faster target acquisition and tactile rubber armor has been placed around the objective lens for improved grip and purchase. Nikons new built-in sliding sunshade both eliminates glare in bright conditions, and keeps dust and rain off the objective lens in rainy or dusty conditions. And like every model in the PROSTAFF line, the new PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscope features waterproof, fogproof construction, nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed for legendary durability. A 16-48x zoom eyepiece (on the 60mm models) 20-60x on 82mm) with large ocular offers wide field of view for subject acquisition at 16x; and excellent detail resolution at 48x. With a turn-and-slide eyecup, this new eyepiece also offers enhanced eye relief..An excellent feature for eyeglass wearers. The PROSTAFF 5 Fieldscope eyepiece is a digiscope-ready design, so users can capture amazing high magnification images by using an optional accessory digital camera bracket.Available in both straight and angled body versions, for customized viewing.
