The Guard Dog GD1X75-ST-O/B polyurethane heavy-duty 1-channel low-profile cable protector is made of polyurethane, has an orange hinged lid and black ramps, and can be used to cover a cable or hose running along a floor to prevent tripping and promote safety. The cable protector is suitable for use at offices, fairs, trade shows, or other public areas with pedestrian or vehicle traffic. Polyurethane resists wear, water, and corrosion. An ultraviolet (UV) stabilizer helps prevent fading and discoloring. The hinged lid is orange for visibility and can be lifted open to insert, access, or remove the cable or hose. The surface has a five-bar tread pattern for traction. The modular design facilitates assembly. The connectors can be used to interlock two or more cable protectors (additional protectors sold separately). The cable protector has molded warning symbols for safety. This product weighs 7.8 lb., has a load capacity of 13,000 lb. per tire or 26,000 lb. per axle, and measures 36 x 10.81 x 1.25 inches (L x W x H). (L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point.) The channel measures 2.25 x 0.75 inches (W x H) and can protect a cable or hose measuring up to 0.75" in diameter. The cable protector can be used in temperatures between -40 and 120 degrees F. It is suitable for use with an anti-slip rubber pad kit or a Velcro carpet kit (each sold separately). Drop over cable protectors (also called cable covers or cord covers) protect cables, electrical cords, and hoses from wear and compression from pedestrian and vehicular traffic. They can also improve pedestrian safety by helping to decrease the risk of tripping over cables crossing paths or aisles. Drop over cable protectors are placed over cables lying on a floor or outdoor surface where people or cars are expected to pass. These protectors are shaped like trapezoids with an opening on the bottom (called the channel) for the cable or cord. Because they are open on the bottom, they are easy to deploy and pick up, but when used on rough surfaces, they do not protect cables from abrasion from below. Cable protectors are designed for use in public, commercial, and industrial applications where cables, cords, and hoses need to extend across an area that pedestrians may pass or vehicles might drive over.
