Product Description

The Pitsco 38338 TETRIX Heavy-Duty Aluminum Channel Kit includes aircraft-grade aluminum channel pieces in five different lengths to be used as a robot's structural base for students in grades 9-12 building TETRIX robotics projects. The channels are made of 2mm thick aluminum for durability. Aluminum resists corrosion and tarnishing, and is lightweight. The kit includes 32mm x 32mm channels in 32mm, 96mm, 160mm, 288mm, and 416mm lengths to accommodate a variety of designs. The hole pattern on these structural pieces enables students to connect pieces together at angles, as well as horizontally and vertically. Channels can be cut to different lengths, drilled to add holes, or bent for custom designs. TETRIX products reinforce science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts for students in grades 9-12 studying robotics and building a working robot that demonstrates engineering, simple machines, force, and Newton's laws of motion. Aluminum channels can be used in an educational setting to provide the body structure for a robotics project.Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.Pitsco Education develops K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum, educational kits, and classroom tools. The company, founded in 1971, is headquartered in Pittsburg, KS.What's in the Box?
