Digitally re-mastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Country duo. In the 1980's David Frizzell and Shelly West had 11 hits on the Billboard Singles charts. They were voted CMA vocal duo of the year in 1981 and 1982. Both David and Shelly come from country music royalty, David being the younger brother of Lefty Frizzell and Shelly West, daughter of the great Dottie West. CARRYIN' ON THE FAMILY NAMES, released in 1981, reached #6 on the Billboard Album charts and remained there for 79 weeks. It contains four hit singles. Merle Haggard can be heard on 'Lefty' and 'Darling Will You Marry Me Again'. The David Frizzell & Shelly West Album released in 1982 reached #8 on the Billboard Album charts and remained there for 42 weeks. It contains two hit singles 'Another Honky-Tonk Night on Broadway' and 'I Just Came Here to Dance'. Both albums appear for the first time on CD. Produced by Snuff Garrett and Steve Dorff.
