This Turtle Bone is a natural calcium source for all types of aquatic turtles, box turtles, and tortoises. Simply place in turtle's enclosure for beneficial calcium on an "as-needed" basis. These convenient floating "bones" supply natural calcium for turtle growth and beak/shell development. Turtle Bone is extremely beneficial for juvenile and gravid female turtles and tortoises requiring additional calcium for shell growth and egg development. A natural, floating source of calcium for all aquatic turtles, box turtles and tortoises. Rough, edible surface prevents overgrown beaks. Helps curb unwanted chewing behavior. Instructions: Aquatic Turtles: Remove one Turtle Bone per 1-2 turtles and place in water. The Turtle Bone will float and your turtles will eat as desired. Replace Turtle Bone if it begins to deteriorate before being consumed. Tortoises and Box Turtles: Place one Turtle Bone in a separate food dish and leave alone until consumed. Certainanimals will devour the Turtle Bone within a few days while others may take weeks. As long as your animal is eating its regular diet, this is normal behavior. Each bone is approximately 6.5" long - 2 pack.
