Led by Clone Commander Cody, the 212th Attack Battalion accompanied Obi-Wan Kenobi to Utapau as part of his hunt for General Grievous. There, the troopers engaged the Separatist droid army and helped to defeat the droid leader. After Grievous' death, Darth Sidious initiated Order 66, turning the clones against their Jedi generals. The 212th Attack Battalion fired upon Obi-Wan and believed him to be dead. The clones then secured the planet for Sidious, imprisoning much of the native Utapaun and Utai population.
