A dramedy police procedural with shades of Sam Spade, "Castle" features complex mysteries set in a stylized New York, and sizzling chemistry between writer Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Det. Kate Beckett (Stana Katic).

This William S. Paley Television Festival live event honors "Castle," the drama series about a New York Police Department detective who grudgingly lets a rugged mystery-books author help solve murder cases.

Will Keck (editor, TV Guide Magazine) moderates the following panelists: series creator/executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe; and cast members Tamala Jones (Dr. Lanie Parish), Penny Johnson Jerald (Capt. Victoria Gates), Jon Huertas (Det. Javier Esposito), Seamus Dever (Det. Kevin Ryan), Stana Katic (Det. Kate Beckett), Nathan Fillion (Richard Castle), Molly Quinn (Alexis Castle), and Susan Sullivan (Martha Rodgers).

The panelists touch on such topics as: the ongoing will-they/won't-they "dance" between Castle and Beckett; Fillion and Katic's eagerness for the relationship to escalate; and how the character of Martha is a tribute to Sullivan's mother.

Questions from the audience then lead to a discussion of the following topics among others: Marlowe's lack of belief in the so-called "Moonlighting" curse; the personal back stories that the actors have for their characters; and the technical challenges of the "Cuffed" episode in which Castle and Beckett were chained together.
