Every summer Dmitri Hovrostovsky interrupts his international opera and concert schedule to return to Russia and embrace his own people with concerts of their favorite Russian romances and songs. Dmitri is uniquely able to raise to the highest artistic level these popular classics all Russians know and love. This DVD memorializes such a live event. In this performance film - shot Friday September 15, 2006 at the Oktyabrsky Hall in St. Petersburg, Russia - celebrated baritone vocalist Dmitri Hvorostovsky headlines a live concert, interpreting a series of Russian standards culled largely from his albums I Met You, My Love and Moscow Nights.
