Deep Purple were the biggest selling album act in America when they embarked on a 28 date tour promoting their new album "Burn". The undoubted climax of this tour was headlining the California Jam Festival at Ontario Speedway in California, in front of 200,000 people. Their explosive set is presented here on DVD for the first time. The set list includes tracks from "Burn", as well as classics like "Space Truckin'" and "Smoke On The Water".

Witness rock and roll history in the making as Deep Purple takes the stage of the California Jam Festival at Ontario Speedway to offer eight classic hits. This is the legendary performance in which guitarist Richie Blackmore wreaked havoc on the stage as the set drew to a close, a move that nearly resulted in Deep Purple being banned from performing in America ever again. Songs include "Arrival at Airport", "Burn", "Might Just Take Your Life", "Lay Down, Stay Down", "Mistreated", "Smoke on the Water", "You Fool No One", and "Space Truckin'". ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
