Product Description

After 3 years of R&D and testing we are the original and only manufacturer producing a device that limits the output to 1.1 amps. This is important as a safeguard to protect not only your phone, but your motorcycle battery as well. Heat in the phone can damage the device, and the additional output can drain the motorcycle or ATV battery. It will need to be push started or jump started.

1. Keep in mind that the host is a motorcycle or ATV battery. Unlike a car battery or an AC wall plug, you have to concern yourself with draining the host battery. Even pulling 1 ampere off the battery is taxing. Drawing 2+ Amps for an hour+ is asking to have to push start or jump start your motorcycle.

2. You are charging in a hostile environment. The phone manufactures all suggest that you do not charge your phone when it is warmer than 90-95F. Using a 2.1 Amp charger heats up the phone and the phone's battery much faster (and higher) than using a 1 Amp charger and think about being on a motorcycle. You are inches from plenty of heat sources, and you are not in an air conditioned environment.

3. The ZootFresh charger has plenty of power. Charges most every phone to 80% charge in less than 30 minutes. Also, battery experts and the phone manufacturers report that charging your phone in ideal conditions at 2.1 amps WILL decrease its battery life versus charging it at 1 amp. The additional heat generated causes degradation. In extreme conditions, like above 120, this can have a very significant impact on your phone life.

4. To put it simply you do not need 2+ Amps. Our ZootFresh chargers will charge every device out there. There is simply no advantage in taking out the current limiter in the ZootFresh design to allow additional current.

Just something the average rider should be knowledgeable about, and we think not have to worry about.
