The calibrated Mitutoyo 547-500CAL digital thickness gauge is for taking precise measurements of thin products such as small parts, papers, and felt. This gauge has a measurement range of 0 to 0.47" (0 to 12mm), a resolution of up to 0.0005", and an accuracy of + or - 0.001". The IDS-type LCD screen displays in inches and metric. The contact point and anvil for this gauge are flat and are constructed of ceramic for corrosion-resistance. This model has a grip handle, thumb trigger, and spring-loaded spindle for taking accurate measurements. Mitutoyo calibrated tools include a Certificate of Calibration that provides evidence that the tool has been calibrated and is within allowable error specifications. Mitutoyo calibrated tools are certified by Mitutoyo's American Association for Laboratory Accreditation-accredited calibration laboratory (A2LA Certificate #750-01) to the International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC) 17025 International Standard for testing and calibration laboratories. This gauge has a measuring force of 1.5 Newtons (N) or less. It includes conversion origin and direction changeover functions. The unit has a battery life of 20,000 hours. An SR-44 battery is included. This gauge offers Digimatic serial data output (using optional SPC cables, sold separately), which increases speed and reliability of digital measurement records.
