Our Martha Stewart Pets Nail Clipper makes it easy to trim your dog369;s nails at home. The comfortable, non-slip grip allows you to hold the clippers securely. Adjustable cutting guard, secure-grip and curved blade allow you to mimic a trip to the groomer. Only at PetSmart. Features: Cutting guard for safety Used For: Dogs Health Consideration: Nails Care Instructions: Wipe clean with soft, dry cloth. Caution: This is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children and pets. For use on dogs only. Directions: It is recommended that you trim your dog;s nails every 4-6 weeks. Find a quiet place and make your dog feel comfortable. Hold your dog;s paw and use your thumb to gently press the base of the nail to extend it slightly. Trim the nail at a 45-degree angle so it is flush with the floor when your dog walks. Be cautious of the pink-colored blood vessel, or quick, in each nail and trim only the nail tip. The quick may be difficult to see in dark nails. Avoid cutting nails too short as bleeding may occur. If you cut the quick, apply a coagulant to help stop the bleeding.
